Continuation from A Dream of Energy

A user left a comment on my Dream of Energy blog saying that although he agrees for a greener Maui, if the sugarcane were to be removed, we would have a bigger problem with dust and erosion.
I had a spring thought that instead of sugarcane, what if we were to replace that with pili grass instead?

So I was thinking. Mokulele Hwy here on Maui is a daily commute to and from Kahului to Kihei.
