Chemical Free Ways To Clean Your Kitchen

Lately, Clorox wipes have been really popular for cleaning and disinfecting one's kitchen, but because of the tough fibers that the wipes are comprised of it is difficult for it to decompose.

Fibers of the wipes make this product difficult to decompose and biodegrade.

So, here are a few ways you can clean and disinfect your kitchen without harsh chemicals and tough "disposable" cloth.

Do you have a nasty grease and leftover sauces that's exploded onto the walls of your microwave?
Put a bowl of water into the microwave and heat it for 5-10 minutes.
The water will turn to steam and loosen the grease and unknown food stains. Take a rag and wipe clean.

How To Kill Fleas Naturally!

Is your house flea ridden because your loving, furry friend brought them in? Worried about using a bug bomb or other harsh, poisonous chemicals in your home?

Well, here's how you can get rid of those nasty, blood sucking bugs without using toxic materials.
What's he lookin' at?
Please keep in mind, this is NOT a quick fix. This process needs at least 3-4 days and took me a whole week to complete. BUT, I never had a flea problem ever again after I did this.

Now, here's a general break down of what you will need:
  • Lots and lots of salt (doesn't matter what kind. Regular table salt is cheaper than sea salt)
  • Baking soda
  • Mr. Teal's Lavender scented Epsom salt
  • A nightlight, Plates and Liquid dish washing soap
  • Cedar wood blocks (the kind that you hang in your closet to ward off moths)
  • Rosemary Mint scented warming oil, Tea candles and a Warming oil stand
  • A mosquito candle and Eucalyptus scented candle boost beads
  • A flea comb
  • A vacuum

Global Winter Wonderland! Extreme Recycling!

Had an arctic BLAST at Global Winter Wonderland here in Atlanta, Georgia!

It was my friends birthday and a few of us decided to get some tickets to this once a year carnival/amusement park to celebrate and hang out with each other.

They had a ton of different light statues set up and it was SO beautiful!

Some of you may be wondering "what does this have to do with ocean or environment awareness?"

A Meeting With Bill Frampton

Friday, January 13, 2013, I had a unique opportunity to sit and have a chat with Bill Frampton (one of the developers for the proposed Olowalu Town.

I’ve only ever seen Mr. Frampton and Mr. Ward at the testimonies that take place at the Council Chambers where we’re practically fighting against each other rather than talking to each other.

I was supposed to meet with both Bill Frampton and Dave Ward, but circumstances prevented me from meeting Mr. Ward.

I was very nervous at first. I had a lot of serious questions I wanted answered right away and I was anxious to get started.

However, my little interview ended up turning into more of a chat with Bill Frampton.
